Various Networks, 7:00 p.m. ET
The Sweet 16 round begins tonight with games from the South and West brackets, televised beginning at 7 p.m. ET on CBS, with games shown by both CBS and TBS. To illustrate the exciting volatile of the NCAA tournament. This left half of the bracket, as this third round of games arrives, already has eliminated both No. 1 seeds — and both No. 2 seeds as well. In fact, the top seed remaining in this half of the bracket is West No. 3 seed Michigan, which plays No. 7 seed Texas A&M at 7:30 p.m. ET on TBS. And there’s one double-digit seed still standing in this half of the bill: South No. 11 Loyola-Chicago, which beat No. 3 Tennessee last weekend with a last-second buzzer-beating jumper.
Fox, 8:00 p.m. ET
This is another new episode where the women of Gotham City continue to amass and grab power — and chief among them tonight is Sofia Falcone (Crystal Reed), daughter of a former Gotham crime lord, who ended last week’s episode by wielding a hammer and bashing to shreds the hands of Narrows neighborhood boss Lee (Morena Baccarin) — who, like Sofia, has an ill-fated former relationship with Gordon.
TCM, 10:00 p.m. ET
TCM is saluting famous movie endings this month — and this 1939 Civil War epic ends with what, at the time, was a fairly un-civil utterance. At the time, it may have shocked with its bluntness. Today, it’s positively quaint — but that last line of dialogue continues to be known, and quoted, by cinema enthusiasts everywhere.
