MINISERIES PREMIERE: Actually, it’s debatable whether this new crime drama, starring David Morrissey as a British detective, should be considered a series, a miniseries, or a series of made-for-TV movies. In the U.K., the Thorne stories ran at a longer, more detailed length, though both the plot and characterizations hold up well here. And there are familiar faces, too, including Natascha McElhone from Californication and, in tomorrow’s episode, Sandra Oh from Grey’s Anatomy.
