This is a comment on your television picks from last night. I was intrigued by Persons Unknown. Do you think that we should give the Battlestar/The Usual Suspects combo more leeway than other shows?

I too would love a comment section on the nights best bets!
There have been plenty of times when I wanted to contribute some piece of information about a Best Bet show, writer, actor or director, but there's nowhere to put it.
Sounds like your leaning against it, but maybe you could limit it to certain types of comments only? (To avoid whatever it is that makes you wary of doing it.) Or you could try it, and if it doesn't work, shut it down. (Like I have any idea how hard it is to build these types of things into a website.)

What did you think about the show that aired after Breaking Bad, Rubicon?

[Good question. Haven't had a chance to see it yet. My TiVo is at 95% capacity... and so is my life. But I'm through traveling for a while, so I'll dive in as soon as I can. But first, I have to see the Breaking Bad finale! - David B.]

I did see the A-Team movie this past weekend. It's not the greatest of movies (plot didn't make much sense if one were to actually think about it) and it was more of an origins story rather than, say, A Very Big Episode of The A-Team (that is, where they, as soldiers of fortune, help the helpless). If you're looking for a higher caliber movie like "The Hurt Locker" (which is a great movie, by the way) - this isn't the movie for that, really.

That said, I enjoyed it. I thought it captured the cartoony and campy ambiance of the tv series very well (speaking as someone who grew up on the series and never really took it seriously either; it wasn't exactly high quality tv, but we're talking about the 1980's and it was an odd decade for NBC, to have gone with "The A-Team" and "The Knight Rider" for campy tv).

I thought it was a plus that the movie cast seemed to be enjoying themselves and had chemistry. It was a great cast - I still couldn't get over seeing Liam Neeson as Hannibal (he didn't bother stretching his acting muscles or trying to be George Peppard as Hannibal, but he was enjoyable). Bradley Cooper did a nice job as Face, as did Quinton Jackson as B.A. and Sharlto Copley as Murdock. If you're a fan of the series, you'd probably enjoy it.

Oh, and stay for the priceless stuff after the credits; good stuff for an A-Team fan.
