Fox, 8 p.m. ET The 11 finalists, many of whom are shown here, get a second straight week in which to attack the song catalog of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Many of last week's choices and performances were equally inexplicable, so here's hoping these youngsters got some better advice for this musical rematch. |

TCM, 8 p.m. ET James Stewart stars as Elwood P. Dowd, a very nice meek man with an invisible best friend - a very tall rabbit. This was made in 1950 B.P. - Before Prozac - but in that more innocent age, this is a very charming movie. |

ABC, 9 p.m. ET I didn't recommend last night's portion of this latest Dancing cycle's two-night premiere, but I'll recommend tonight. One, it's a slower night. Two, this is the week with the female contestants showcased - including Monica Seles, Shannon Elizabeth, Priscilla Presley and Marlee Matlin. You have to admit, that's an intriguing lineup. |

HBO, 9:30 p.m. ET Tonight's episode dropped a bombshell - but even if you didn't see it, drop by tonight, and you'll see another one. Paul has a new session, with a new visitor - and has to ask, and answer, some very tough questions. |

FX, 10 p.m. ET The second season of this tantalizingly twisted series begins tonight, with Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver in more hot water than ever as the gypsy couple imitating the upper-class Riches. When the action begins, you think they can't get in any more trouble than they're in already, with whistle-blowers closing in from all sides. Think again. For more, read today's BIANCULLI'S BLOG. |

ABC, 10:30 p.m. ET Judy Greer stars in this new comedy series, playing a high school geek who returns to her old school as the new guidance counselor. Since this comes from Ashton Kutcher's production company, the same folks who created Beauty and the Geek, this comedy is a way to combine those two subsets into one person. And compared to most new ABC comedies, it's at least worth a look. |
