SERIES PREMIERE: Well, once again, it’s a premiere in the U.S. (as long as the pandemic keeps going, expect American programmers to reach more deeply, and gratefully, into foreign TV pantries for available inventory). This series, which is quite funny, is a sort of variation on
Schitt’s Creek, with a well-to-do woman losing her fortune, and relocating to a strange place as a literal last resort. Except, in
Frayed, the strange place is Australia, which is where pampered London housewife Samantha relocates after the death of her husband, and the instant seizing of their assets. Sarah Kendall, who created and wrote
Frayed, also stars as Samantha in this United Kingdom-Australian comedy series, which already has been shown in both those places.
