As with yesterday, today’s divisional playoffs are divided between two networks, and two conferences. Today’s first postseason contest, for the AFC, is at 3 p.m. ET, when CBS presents the 11-6 Houston Texans vs. the 12-4 Kansas City Chiefs. The Texans beat the Bills in overtime last week to advance to this game. Then, at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox, the 12-5 Seattle Seahawks face the 13-3 Green Bay Packers in the NFC Divisional Playoff.
TCM, 5:45 p.m. ET

SERIES PREMIERE: This new 10-part miniseries, based on the novel by Stephen King, premieres with an episode directed by Jason Bateman, who also stars as a murder suspect – in a case that becomes increasingly mysterious and, in some ways, irrational. Ben Mendelsohn and Cynthia Erivo play the detectives working on the baffling case, and Richard Price is one of the writer-producers handling this HBO adaptation. The opener is moody and slow-building in a good way, adding to Bateman’s stellar choices since making the transition from child star to adult actor. Arrested development? Far from it…
