BIANCULLI’S BEST BETS

Netflix, 3:00 a.m. ET

SEASON PREMIERE: Orange Is the New Black is back for Season 5, resuming where last season’s cliffhanger left off: with a prison riot. And the ramifications of that, much more serious and less playful than previous seasons, makes this latest round of OITNB a much darker shade of orange.

Netflix, 3:00 a.m. ET

MOVIE PREMIERE: This is a somewhat unexpected surprise little treat – a made-for-Netflix movie that’s laced with lots of comedy and comic actors, yet works effectively as a mystery drama, and has an unusual story structure as well. Shimmer Lake begins a few days after a small-town bank robbery, investigated by local police and the visiting FBI, then works its way backwards, day by day. And each day the plot goes in reverse, the more we learn about not only the bank robbery, but the characters and their respective actions and motives. Benjamin Walker stars as the sheriff, with very canny support from Rainn Wilson, Rob Corddry, John Michael Higgins, Ron Livingston, Adam Pally, and Stephanie Sigman. Orien Uziel, upgrading his resume substantially from the likes of 22 Jump Street and Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, writes and directs.

ABC, 9:00 p.m. ET

The Golden State Warriors have a 3-0 edge against the Cleveland Cavaliers in this year’s series – so if the Cavs are going to repeat their come-from-behind victory from last year’s championship, the team will have to dig itself out from an even deeper hole, and not lose a single one of the next four games. Otherwise, the Warriors have won it all again, as was the case two years ago.

Showtime, 9:00 p.m. ET

Director Mark Kidel, relying on an unpublished autobiography by Cary Grant, delves deeply into the private thoughts and insecurities of the actor who embodied the cinematic ideal of the suave leading man. It’s an interesting portrait, as well as s great excuse to revisit clips from many of Grant’s classic movies.

HBO, 10:00 p.m. ET

Leading tonight’s scheduled guest list: David Gregory, Michael Eric Dyson, and Ice Cube. Leading tonight’s topics: Undoubtedly, the Senate committee testimony of former FBI director James Comey (pictured).

Speaking of finding reliable information, I've been doing some research lately on platforms that are actually straightforward about their terms. It's amazing how much difference it makes when everything is clearly displayed upfront, especially with minimums and processing times. I came across https://thor-fortunes.org/ while comparing options, and the way they lay out their cashier details in EUR makes it easy to understand exactly what to expect before committing.
