But even after beating his long-time dominant clay-court rival, Rafael Nadal, in this year’s tournament, and taking two days to defeat semifinal opponent Andy Murray, Djokovic still has one more man to beat before claiming the trophy. Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland, ranked No. 8 to Djokovic’s No. 1, had made it to today’s final – and got to rest all day yesterday, while Djokovic had to play his final two sets against Murray in a two-day marathon.
