The good news for Tiger Woods fans is that he made the cut, and will be around to play for the weekend in today's Round 3 – a feat he’s accomplished, over the years in all but one of 21 appearances at the Masters. The bad news: His score for Friday was a three-over-par 75, his ninth straight round over par in a major tournament. The leader after two rounds? Patrick Reed, who shot a six-under-par 66 on Friday. PATERNO

HBO, 8:00 p.m. ET

Al Pacino is back on HBO, and back with Barry Levinson as director, for a docudrama about two very tumultuous weeks in the life of Penn State football coach Joe Paterno. The drama centers on the widespread controversy about Paterno assistant Jerry Sandusky, charged with dozens of accounts of child molestation and rape over a lengthy period. Pacino is subtle and excellent, and the story is structured to avoid showing much of Sandusky at all, much less any of his alleged criminal behavior.
