BIANCULLI’S BEST BETS

NBC, 9:00 p.m. ET

Last Thursday was Halloween, and the TV was full of old movie tricks and treat. A week later, most of the decorations are packed away (save for TVWW assistant editor Linda Donovan’s down-the-street neighbor), and tonight’s TV offers only one obvious, marvelous treat. Not surprisingly, it’s another new episode of NBC’s The Good Place – and boy, do I love this show. And after playing it close to the vest for most of the first season of this sitcom, Ted Danson has really gotten to have fun and spring loose. And his co-stars are having obvious fun, too, even as this series approaches its finale. And when that time comes, I expect one hell of an ending. And that statement could well be literal…
