AFC WILD CARD PLAYOFF: INDIANAPOLIS COLTS VS. HOUSTON TEXANS

ABC, ESPN, 4:30 p.m. ET

There are four wild-card playoff games – two today, and two tomorrow – and this first contest among the four offers what may be the most interesting duel at the quarterback position. For the 11-5 Houston Texans, the QB is Deshaun Watson, who has thrown only two interceptions in his last 10 games. However, he’s also been sacked more than any other quarterback this season. And for the 10-6 Indianapolis Colts, QB Andrew Luck threw 39 touchdown passes this season, coming within one score of establishing a new career best.

NFC WILD CARD PLAYOFF: SEATTLE SEAHAWKS VS. DALLAS COWBOYS

Fox, 8:00 p.m. ET

This game, by contrast, is likely to focus on the running attack. The Seattle Seahawks have averaged more yardage per game on the ground than any other squad, while the Dallas Cowboys have the league’s rushing champion, Ezekiel Elliott. Both teams are 10-6, and this game is played in prime time on Fox.

THE WIZARD OF OZ

TNT, 9:15 p.m. ET

It’s 2019 now – which means this most classic of all children’s movies is 80 years old. Made in 1939, everything in it, from the music to the tornado, still seems utterly perfect.

THE ALEC BALDWIN SHOW

ABC, 10:00 p.m. ET

This ABC talk show started on Sunday nights, then was shuffled off to Saturdays when the audience failed to materialize. Tonight’s repeat installment was the show’s most intriguing to date, because the guest was Jerry Seinfeld. Whenever he appears as a guest on a TV show, he usually has a good time making fun of either the host or the program, or both. And why is he appearing on The Alec Baldwin Show at all? Quid pro quo: Last year, Baldwin appeared as a guest on Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
