W. Kamau Bell, who was discovered by Chris Rock and nurtured into an FX current-affairs comedy series of his own, moves to FX’s brand new sister network tonight, and with a mandate that increases his workload fivefold. Instead of a weekly live show, as Bill Maher has on HBO, Bell now hosts a live program five nights a week. And he’ll be learning, and honing his act, in plain sight: Viewers have to find FXX, then find him, to render judgment.
