SERIES PREMIERE: Maybe you can help me on this one. I’ve been sifting through my memory – which, these days, is like sifting through a sieve – and can’t think of another instance, before tonight’s premiere of CSI: Cyber, in which an actor or actress starred in a new TV series almost immediately after winning an Oscar. Patricia Arquette did just that, after winning an Oscar for Boyhood, but there may be a catch. She started filming Boyhood even before starring in her previous TV series, Medium, so she’s been at this for quite a while. But is there an Oscar precedent in this regard? If so, tell me.
