Not because of the way it recounts and summarizes McCain’s life and political career, or what McCain says in new interviews conducted for this profile – or even because such former McCain political rivals as Barack Obama and Bill Clinton are on hand to comment on McCain’s style and legacy. No, the reason I suspect President Trump might be outraged is that, in this entire documentary, he’s never even mentioned. David Bianculli has been a TV critic since 1975, including a 14-year stint at the New York Daily News, and sees no reason to stop now. Currently, he's TV critic for NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross, and is an occasional substitute host for that show.
