2013 WORLD SERIES

Fox, 8:00 p.m. ET

Last night’s Game 3 ended in a slide at the plate (he’s out!), a throw to third (he missed!), another slide to the plate (he’s…what?) – and a cloud of controversy that gave the St. Louis Cardinals the walk-off win, after a tense tie game in the bottom of the ninth. Tonight is Game 4 – and if the Boston Red Sox don’t have motivation to hit and field well tonight, then, well, this series is almost over.

THE GOOD WIFE

CBS, 9:00 p.m. ET

This is the episode where everything comes to a head at the law firm. I know it for sure this time, because CBS sent out an advance review copy. And fasten your seat belts… this is a deliciously bumpy ride.

THE WALKING DEAD

AMC, 9:00 p.m. ET

This week’s episode is called “Isolation,” and it doesn’t have to do with the group inside the prison and the zombies outside. Well, yes, there’s that – but there’s also a problem inside the prison, which causes some of the “inmates” to demand strict quarantine from the others.

HOMELAND

Showtime, 9:00 p.m. ET

The extreme plot twists this far this season have come into focus, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t more to come. Not when Carrie (Claire Danes), already the focus of intense scrutiny and a magnet for extreme tension, gets an unexpected visitor – Brody’s wife.

MASTERS OF SEX

Showtime, 10:00 p.m. ET

Lizzy Kaplan’s Virginia Johnson tries to connect with her son in this episode – but given what’s just happened at home, it isn’t easy.
