BIANCULLI’S BEST BETS

Hulu, 3:00 a.m. ET

SEASON PREMIERE: The second season of Aaron Paul’s post-Breaking Bad TV drama surfaces today on Hulu. He plays Eddie, a man who becomes involved with a cult religion known as the Meyerists. In last season’s cliffhanger, Eddie left the religion, and his family. In Season 2, we get to witness the fallout from that emotional decision. Michelle Monaghan, Hugh Dancy co-star.

Fox, 9:00 p.m. ET

This week’s new episode is called “New Voices” – and for it, the female trio decides to embrace a new singing style – and a whole new image. Just another page from the Rock Follies playbook – but who, besides me, remembers that mid-1970s musical miniseries import?

PBS, 10:00 p.m. ET

This PBS documentary sets out to explain not only how crippling a disease Alzheimer’s is, but how extensive of an epidemic it represents. For a full review, see Linda Donovan’s Dateline Donovan.

FXX, 10:30 p.m. ET

Man Seeking Woman has made the most of this season’s juicy story arc, which has Josh (Jay Baruchel) exploring all the ramifications of actually committing to a woman. In his case, it’s Lucy (Katie Findlay), who has been around since the opening scene of this current season. Tonight, Lucy takes Josh to meet her parents, and gets upset with his reaction to them. Not because he doesn’t get along with them – but because he does.

TBS, 10:30 p.m. ET

It’s Samantha Bee’s turn to react to last weekend’s presidential inauguration, and the series of women’s marches that followed. How could you not watch?
