There’s a body found in the woods (which, come to think of it, happens a lot on this show), which leads to some unexpected investigative trails – a karate class, for one, and, for another, a fish. I wonder: Is this a clever new episode of Bones, or are the writers floundering? Sorry. I don’t mean to carp.

The meaning of dreams, along with House’s patient, is examined in tonight’s episode. That’s promising, because the dream sequences on this series have been among its best moments. But tonight, not all the dreams are comical or titillating: a young boy has dreams of being strangled, and, in real life, his life indeed is threatened. But by what?

EUREKA

Syfy, 9:00 p.m. ET

At the unexpected conclusion of last week’s season opener, the returning space travelers were revealed not to have returned to a new reality in Eureka, but to have been subjected to a fabricated reality, as in The Matrix. So while they’re strapped to machines and being fed false memories, will anyone come to their aid? For that matter, does anyone know they’re back? Or captured? Or, come to think of it, did they ever leave at all? Let me think. Eureka!

NBC, 10:00 p.m. ET

Uma Thurman continues her guest run as Hollywood actress Rebecca Duvall – but in tonight’s new episode, for one lavish musical sequence inspired by a visit to an Indian restaurant, Hollywood gives way to Bollywood.
