Kristin Chenoweth has what is now a recurring role on this new Kirstie Aley series, playing Brittany Gold, the understudy to Alley’s Broadway diva, Maddie Banks. In tonight’s episode, Maddie finds out her grown son, Arlo (Eric Petersen), is a virgin, and tries to address the issue by cutting a deal with her understudy: If Brittany seduces her son, Maddie will feign illness and allow Brittany to go on stage in her stead. Before you can say All About Eve, Brittany has Arlo alone and strikes a familiar Mrs. Robinson pose. Arlo asks the obligatory, clearly rhetorical question: “Are you trying to seduce me?”
