2015 MEN'S NCAA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Various Networks, 12:00 p.m. ET

Normally, today’s first NCAA game, a contest between two double-digit seeds in the South, wouldn’t be that enticing – but one of those teams, No. 14 UAB, served up one of this year’s first major upsets by beating No. 3 seed Iowa State. Today at noon ET on CBS, UAB takes on No. 11 seed UCLA. Also on CBS, at about 2:40 p.m. ET, favored tournament top seed Kentucky faces No. 8 Midwest seed Kentucky. Other games include Villanova vs. N.C. State at 7:10 p.m. ET on TBS, and, also on TBS, a 9:40 p.m. ET game between two Indiana teams: No. 3 seed Note Dame vs. Midwest No. 6 seed Butler. TNT is the other network to provide coverage today, with a roster that presents eight games in total.

 
  
 
 
THE LITTLE MERMAID

ABC Family, 7:00 p.m. ET

ABC Family tonight presents a triple feature that should delight young viewers, especially but not exclusively little girls, with a collection of classic Disney movies featuring some of its most beloved animated heroines. 1989’s The Little Mermaid starts things off, with Jodi Benson providing the voice of Ariel.

 
  
 
 
A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST

HBO, 8:00 p.m. ET

Seth MacFarlane directed, co-wrote and co-starred in this 2014 comic Western, and he sure surrounded himself with an interesting cast: Liam Neeson, Charlize Theron and Amanda Seyfried aren’t normally actors you’d think of casting in a comedy, and they all seem to enjoy themselves immensely once given the chance. And the comics you would expect, such as Sarah Silverman and Neil Patrick Harris, manage to surprise by doing, or saying, the unexpected, over and over again.

 
  
 
 
SLEEPING BEAUTY

ABC Family, 8:45 p.m. ET

This 1959 movie still enchants – and this is a chance for very young viewers to compare Angelina Jolie’s three-dimensional Maleficent with the one whose voice was provided by Eleanor Audley in this animated adaptation of the classic fairy tale.

 
  
 
 
CINDERELLA

ABC Family, 10:00 p.m. ET

And the triple feature ends with Cinderella, the 1950 cartoon version that has just been brought to life by Disney all over again, in a live-action version starring Lily James in the title role. In this one, Cinderella’s voice is provided by Ilene Woods. And, once again, the enchantment still works, and the animation remains its own shade of beautiful.
