Last week, the New Orleans Saints defeated the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, and today face the Los Angeles Rams, with the winner advancing to this year’s Super Bowl LIII. For both the Saints and the Rams, winning this game will go a long way towards proving that their resurgent play of late has been a trend, not an anomaly.

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP: NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS VS. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

It’s a tale of two quarterbacks: New England Patriots reigning veteran Tom Brady on one side, Kansas City Chiefs wonder boy Patrick Mahomes on the other. But today’s game also is a tale of very cold weather – though today’s forecasts have walked back on the threats of snow, so passing game may be very much in play. But it’ll be very, very cold.

SEASON PREMIERE: Pete Holmes returns with his comedy series about a standup comic trying to make it – a sort of male, current Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, with a self-deprecating edge and a more realistic sense of the comedy club world than most shows of this type. Judd Apatow is involved, so that’s not surprising. But when Pete returns from the college tour to New York, his trajectory is surprising…
