Jackson is excellent in Quentin Tarantino’s 2015 The Hateful Eight – and if he had been nominated for an Oscar, as he should have, then maybe the Academy wouldn’t be under such fire right now. In any event, you can go see The Hateful Eight in theaters tonight. Or you can stay home and watch Tarantino’s 1994 masterwork, in which Jackson and John Travolta, as a couple of eccentric hit men, saw their careers vault to unexpected and formerly unattained heights.
