BIANCULLI’S BEST BETS

TBS, 12:00 a.m. ET

The 25-hour marathon of Angie Tribeca episodes continues – the entire Season 1 output, repeated over and over again until 10 p.m. ET. And if you’ve managed to miss all the episodes shown, and shown again, so far, you can tune in any time today. And should – Angie Tribeca is the silliest TV cop show since Police Squad!, and packs about as many sight gags and punch lines per minute. Rashida Jones stars.

Fox, 8:00 p.m. ET

This special, like many such reality-show celebrity specials, redefines and expands the definition of “celebrity.” But in this case, it’s interesting to watch even semi-familiar people willingly, and in many cases gleefully, subject themselves to the verbal abuse of chef Gordon Ramsay. It’s as though they’re being roasted by Don Rickles – being harassed is more than half the fun. In this case, though, a celebrity roast could be not only the atmosphere, but the recipe.

NBC, 8:30 p.m. ET

In tonight’s episode, a hurricane hits the production office and sound stages – and forces the cast to search for shelter, and food, in the prop room. They find both. But why are those grapes, like the plot, so hard to swallow?

A&E, 9:00 p.m. ET

MINISERIES PREMIERE: Once again, the A&E network, and its network of sister stations, presents a miniseries that it’s spreading not only over several nights (in this case, every Monday for while), but over several networks. You can watch War & Peace on A&E, or, at the same time, on the History channel and Lifetime. Or, come to think of it, you can watch War on one network, and Peace on another. For a full story, see David Hinckley’s All Along the Watchtower.

Starz!, 9:00 p.m. ET

This 1990 movie, much better than the recent remake, stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as a man who embarks on a “virtual vacation,” only to have his entire reality questioned and threatened. It’s based on a story by Philip K. Dick, whose imaginative science fiction also inspired Blade Runner and The Man in the High Castle.

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
