BIANCULLI’S BEST BETS

AMC, 8:00 p.m. ET

Mob Week continues on AMC with another go-round for this 1983 Brian De Palma remake of the film noir classic. By now, Al Pacino's performance in this 30-year-old gangster movie is as iconic as anything in the original. Say hello to Steven Bauer, now on Showtime's Ray Donovan, and to Michelle Pfeiffer - and then, say hello to Pacino's leetle friend. Oh, and by the way, the reason Walter White is packing (in his trunk, in the flashforwards) an even bigger gun than Pacino has here? It's Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan's way of honoring his original description of Walter, as a guy who goes “from Mr. Chips to Scarface.”

Fox, 9:00 p.m. ET

Tonight’s new installment has the contestants striving to serve up the perfect T-bone steak. I’ll be watching intently, because I think I have the perfect recipe already, adapted half from an old cookbook of county fair-winning recipes, and half from my Fresh Air interview with New York Times cooking columnist Mark Bittman. Among the secrets: “age” the steak uncovered in the refrigerator for a day or two, and use a dry rub that includes, among its other ingredients, ground coffee.

BBC America, 10:00 p.m. ET

In Episode 2, David Tennant and Olivia Colman continue play the most reluctant, but grudgingly effective, crime-solving partners since – well, since their counterparts on The Bridge. And in tonight’s show, while the town doesn’t get any larger, their pool of prime suspects gets smaller.

Comedy Central, 10:00 p.m. ET

Fry’s brain may or may not be fried, or Fry’d – but this week, he can’t get a tune out of his head. And upon careful examination of Fry’s brains, the music turns out to be a sinister signal from a distant spaceship. Distant, but getting closer – which is something else Fry doesn’t want to hear.

FX, 10:00 p.m. ET

The killer sets his sights on a new target – and at the same time, other nefarious doings are underway, and widening to intersect with the primary murder investigation.

Speaking of finding reliable information, I've been doing some research lately on platforms that are actually straightforward about their terms. It's amazing how much difference it makes when everything is clearly displayed upfront, especially with minimums and processing times. I came across https://thor-fortunes.org/ while comparing options, and the way they lay out their cashier details in EUR makes it easy to understand exactly what to expect before committing.
