ABC, 8:00 p.m. ET

In Game 4 of this year’s NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors countered the Cleveland Cavaliers’ two-game winning streak by going with a smaller lineup full of more accurate shooters. That evened the series at two games apiece, with each time winning one game at home and one on the road. Now it’s Game 5, with the Warriors hosting from Oakland, and from here on in, if there is a home-team advantage, that advantage switches every game – a rule change that just might make a difference this year.

GAME OF THRONES

HBO, 9:00 p.m. ET

SEASON FINALE: Given how this Season 5 has been going – and how last week’s episode ended, with another incendiary final scene (this time literally, with the return of a fire-breathing dragon) – how can you not tune in for this? It’s taken five years for the Game of Throne chess game to get to this point, but now, it’s the major pieces who are confronting one another, or teaming up, at every turn.

After the events of last week’s episode, every character could use a rest – but only two of them get any. That would be Ethan and Vanessa, who retreat for safety to an isolated location. WGN America, 10:00 p.m. ET

The battle continues between the powerful witches played by Janet Montgomery and guest star Lucy Lawless – and in tonight’s episode, Montgomery’s Mary seems to be getting the worst of it. She’s in stocks, her face painted like a brazen women to humiliate her, and with an angry mob clamoring for a less than happy ending.

HBO, 10:32 p.m. ET

SEASON FINALE: It’s Election Night on Veep, with Selina (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) learning the results of her exhaustive and exhausting campaign efforts. And she’s huddled with her staff as the results roll in, a perfect and perfectly natural excuse to end the season with the gang all together in a confined space as tensions are high. Should be great comedy, regardless of the political outcome…
