BIANCULLI’S BEST BETS

ABC, 8:00 p.m. ET

This new installment of The Middle, in which Sue keeps a secret from her family as Christmas approaches, is the kickoff sitcom for a night full of new ABC holiday episodes – which will continue on American Housewife (Katie plans a Christmas-themed school pageant), Fresh Off the Boat (Marvin is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future), and The Real O’Neals (a Christmas choir competition gets heated).

THE VOICE

NBC, 9:00 p.m. ET

CYCLE FINALE: At 8 p.m. ET, The Voice presents a one-hour recap of last night’s final competition, which was stolen by Billy Gilman singing “My Way” and Wé McDonald closing the show with “Don’t Rain on My Parade.” Gilman should win, but McDonald was amazing too. Catch up, by all means, but stay for the two-hour live season finale beginning at 9, with guest appearances by KISS, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, Sting, and others.

GOOD BEHAVIOR

TNT, 9:00 p.m. ET

Most episodes of Good Behavior, to date, have found ways to surround Letty (Michelle Dockery) with the fanciest of trappings and the most attractive of clothes. Tonight’s episode is decidedly different: Returning home to the south to spend a day with her son, Letty takes her son, and her unshakeable traveling companion Javier, to a big-box store.

WILD STRAWBERRIES

TCM, 9:45 p.m. ET

This 1957 Ingmar Bergman film, essentially, is a Swedish road movie – just as dark and slow, yet searingly honest and haunting, as that might imply. An elderly doctor is being honored for 50 years of a respected medical practice, and decides to drive to the event with his daughter-in-law – picking up insight, and hitchhikers, along the way. Victor Sjostrom, Bibi Andersson star.

JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!

ABC, 10:00 p.m. ET

Here’s some network synergy for you. The Disney-owned ABC networks presents a special prime-time edition of the ABC Studios-co-produced Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which presents guests and clips from the new Disney-produced Star Wars movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
