NFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF: ATLANTA FALCONS VS. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

NBC, 4:30 p.m. ET

The Philadelphia Eagles looked to be cruising to a Super Bowl berth this year, with the best record in franchise history and with quarterback Carson Wentz making it look easy. But then he was injured last month, and replaced by backup QB Nick Foles, who has been uneven at best – and has prompted most observers to give the Atlanta Falcons the edge in today’s divisional NFC playoff. If the Eagles will prevail, it’s likely to be on the ground, not in the air, which means this year’s surprise acquisition, former Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi, needs to play big.

 
  
 
 
BREAKING BAD MARATHON

AMC, 6:00 p.m. ET

The Breaking Bad 10-year celebratory marathon continues this weekend, and today, we’re up to Season 3, Episode 12. That’s the episode called “Half Measures,” a pivotal installment in the behavior and motivations, of both Bryan Cranston’s Walter White and Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman. And it’s an episode that makes room for some colorful small supporting characters, such as Hooker Wendy (pictured) and Mike the Cleaner, and also some major supporting players, such as Gus Fring and Saul Goodman.

 
  
 
 
AFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF: TENNESSEE TITANS VS. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

CBS, 8:00 p.m. ET

For today’s AFC divisional playoff, it’s the Tennessee Titans vs. the New England Patriots. But face it – it’s Patriots QB Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick, against the world as usual. And, as usual, liking their odds.

The first new Saturday Night Live of 2018 feature a first-time host, and a first-time musical guest. The host is Sam Rockwell (pictured), one of the stars of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. The musical guest: Halsey.
