James Corden, former Tony winner, is the host for this year’s ceremony, which promises to be the most eventful Tony Awards ceremony since Mel Brooks won every award in sight for The Producers. This year, it’s Hamilton that’s grabbing all the attention. And, most likely, all the statuettes. But if you want to experience the Broadway cast of Hamilton for under $200, this is your best chance for quite a while.

GAME OF THRONES

HBO, 9:00 p.m. ET

The kingdoms are choosing sides, the enemies are surfacing (hang in there, Arya), and the dragons are about to reappear. In other words, the burners on Game of Thrones, after a couple of expository and anticipatory episodes, are about to be set on medium high.

SILICON VALLEY

HBO, 10:00 p.m. ET

Last week, the button was launched on the official launch of Pied Piper. This week: What happens when the new program goes out into the real world, beyond the Silicon Valley Beta stage.

PENNY DREADFUL

Showtime, 10:00 p.m. ET

The various story lines on this season’s Penny Dreadful are starting to intertwine. Dr. Frankenstein is about to try and lure one of his old creations, played by Billie Piper, back under his influence, with the help of Dr. Jekyll. (But she may have plans of her own, as seen in the accompanying picture.) Ethan has survived his pursuers, and his father, in the Old West, thanks to help from Sir Malcolm – and Vanessa is being threatened even more aggressively by Dracula.

VEEP

HBO, 10:30 p.m. ET

Last week’s episode finally showed why Selina deserves her presidential position: The last half of the show was a forceful demonstration of her as a fast-thinking, tough-talking, stubbornly defiant and ultimately victorious politician. And now, with a new episode called “Camp David,” more of the same…
