SEASON PREMIERE:
American Crime is one of those two, two, two-shows-in-one TV hybrids. It’s a miniseries, in that it tells a story with a beginning, middle and end – this season, its third, in eight weekly installments. But it’s also an anthology series, with each season examining a different crime story at length – and, with
American Crime, having many core players returning in new roles. One of them is Regina King, who’s already won Supporting Actress Emmys in this show’s two previous seasons, for two very different roles.
