BIANCULLI’S BEST BETS

Various Networks, 7:30 p.m. ET

This concert charity fundraiser, televised live from Madison Square Garden, features a ridiculously ripe list of scheduled performers, all of whom are donating time and talent to help victims of the Sandy superstorm that ravaged parts of the Northeast. New Jersey’s Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band are here, and Bon Jovi, as well as Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Dave Grohl, Kanye West, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, and the Who. The lineup of participating channels and networks is just as fat, including – and this is by no means a complete list – HBO, Showtime 2, AMC, IFC, Hallmark Channel, Fuse, G4, MSG, Sundance Channel, and dozens more. Even WNET, the parent company of public TV outlets THIRTEEN (New York), WLIW21 (Long Island) and NJTV (New Jersey), have gotten special dispensation from the FCC to broadcast the concert, and aid their own tristate area, which was hit so hard by the storm. Whatever TV networks and stations don’t start at 7:30 p.m. ET will join in at 8 p.m. ET. Be prepared to record – and to donate.

ABC, 8:00 p.m. ET

It’s the 20th anniversary for the Hecks (Patricia Heaton, Neil Flynn) in tonight’s new episode – and Frankie is wondering whether Mike is tiring of her after all these years. Heck, no!

ABC, 9:00 p.m. ET

In tonight’s new episode, the softball team on which Manny (Rico Rodriguez) plays makes the league playoffs – which seems to bring out the worst in every family member, with the possible exception of poor Manny.

BBC America, 9:00 p.m. ET

The identity of the person who beat up Kiki (Hannah Tointon) continues to be a mystery – and it’s a mystery Bel (Romola Garai, pictured) is determined to solve in this new episode, much to the annoyance of Hector (Dominic West), whom some consider a prime suspect.

FX, 10:00 p.m. ET

Here’s a reunion we didn’t expect when the season began: Dylan McDermott, who starred in Season 1 of American Horror Story but whose character died in the season finale, returns tonight in a new role, but the same face. Well, not exactly the same face. This time he’s Bloody Face.
