Top of the Lake miniseries in 2013. Nicole Kidman, as the mother of a rebellious young woman, is fragile and open and raw in a remarkably impressive way – and Gwendoline Christie, as Robin’s newly assigned partner, has just as many issues as the other two women leading this fine drama.
