The fifth round of blind auditions for this latest cycle is presented tonight – stretching out this part of The Voice about as long as they can. Maybe even longer… Except that this week, for once, the blind auditions are being restricted to a single night of prime-time coverage on NBC.

 
  
 
 
THE PASSAGE

Fox, 8:00 p.m. ET

SEASON FINALE: Last week’s episode of The Passage ended with a cliffhanger, showing the program’s heroes huddled on one side of a reinforced steel door, with the angry vampire population poised to attack on the other side. Tonight, the extended two-hour Season 1 finale puts the protagonists in even more mortal danger – but that’s nothing compared to the cliffhanger served up by Fox itself as the season concludes. To this point, the network has yet to renew The Passage for a Season 2, which means this series may never end. Instead, it could just stop – but not in a premeditated Sopranos type of way.

DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE: Michael Epstein, who directed 2010’s LennoNYC for PBS’s American Masters, finds more inspiration in yet another chapter from the former Beatle’s years as a resident artist in New York. This documentary takes a long, detailed look into the content and recording of John Lennon’s Imagine album in 1971, and also into his personal and creative life with Yoko Ono during the same period.
