SERIES PREMIERE: When The Fault in Our Stars beat out another new film, Tom Cruise’s sci-fi action movie Edge of Tomorrow, at the box office last weekend, it may have been a tipoff that young audiences are more than eager to see dramas that focus on young people faced with premature mortality. And if The Fault In Our Stars, which is about teens who meet at a cancer support group, can grab national attention, perhaps this new ABC Family series can as well. Chasing Life stars Italia Ricci as April, a 24-year-old journalist who’s suddenly given a diagnosis of leukemia. How she copes, and what she faces, is the roller-coaster spine of this new drama series.
