This episode pays tribute to Finn – and, thus, the young actor who played him, Cory Monteith. No cause of death is given for Finn, who, in this story line, died a few weeks before. He’s saluted, in character, by current and former cast members, and often, of course, in song. Musical highlights include Lea Michele, Monteith’s real-life girlfriend at the time of his death, singing a song to Finn in her character as Rachel: Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.”
