SERIES PREMIERE: A trio of talents makes this new ABC series worth sampling, and hoping it delivers on its initial premise and promise. Connie Britton plays a country music star whose trajectory is waning, Hayden Panettiere plays a younger singer whose star is rising, and, behind the scenes, T Bone Burnett – who guided the soundtracks for
O Brother Where Art Thou? and
Crazy Heart – oversees the music. So expect good acting, good music – and, with
Thelma & Louise writer Callie Khouri as the series’ creator, good writing as well. For a full review, see Ed Bark’s
