BEST BETS FOR SUNDAY, MAY 11, 2008

	ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS MOTHER'S DAY BBC America, 3 p.m. ET Here’s an interesting way to spend a Mother’s Day afternoon – watching one of the world’s worst mothers, in a mini-marathon of episodes highlighting her dubious parenting skills. Jennifer Saunders stars, with Joanna Lumley co-starring as her equally clueless best friend.
	60 MINUTES CBS, 7 p.m. ET 30 Rock is over for the season, but here’s another place to see Alec Baldwin, and in a markedly different context. He’s appearing tonight on this long-running newsmagazine, to talk, among other things, about politics – and whether he’d ever run for office himself.
	SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA CBS, 8 p.m. ET The teams in this edition – divided, originally, between fans of the show and former players – didn’t do much to make this cycle interesting. But the unexpected, often idiotic play of the contestants surely did. Supposedly, that trend continues tonight, in the installment that leads to the show’s fine tribal council – and, immediately afterward, the traditional live finale. And this time, for the first time, the Final Four is an all-female group.
	THE SIMPSONS Fox, 8 p.m. ET What a perfect Mother’s Day sweeps-month guest spot: Glenn Close returns as Homer’s mom, the long-missing, radical-in-hiding Mrs. Simpson.
	DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES ABC, 9 p.m. ET One week from tonight, this show pulls up stakes for the season. Given that the year’s finish line is in sight, expect a lot of fireworks tonight – including some Mother’s Day antics that have at least one mother, Marcia Cross’ Bree, taking a swing at a neighbor. And from what I can tell from the picture, it’s a right Cross…
	BROTHERS & SISTERS ABC, 10 p.m. ET For this series, tonight’s episode is the last one of the season, so expect lots and lots of drama and trauma – and a lot of Mother’s Day focus on Sally Field, the family matriarch. But based on the promos, Patricia Wettig’s Holly gets a lot of attention, too. Why? That’s why you tune in.
