Many broadcast and cable outlets will be reacting to President Trump’s first State of the Union address afterward with live commentary and analysis. But only Stephen Colbert is doing his broadcast network late show live tonight, to react accordingly…

Last week, Fox successfully launched this new medical series with a two-night premiere that drew viewers in  the double digits of millions – which, these days, is a lot. Tonight's Episode 3, with Matt Czuchry still at dead center… but with other characters either introduced or profiled more than before.

This period serial killer series continues – and while it’s got some occasional scenes of interest, it’s also arriving at a time when dramas about serial killers, on television, outnumber those telling stories about just about any other profession or activity. So if you’re going to do one these days, it has to stand out, and not just because it’s set at an earlier time.

This 1934 screwball comedy remains one of the most honored movies of all time, which is one reason to make a special effort to watch, or revisit, when it makes a prime-time uninterrupted and unedited showing, as it does tonight on TCM. Clark Cable plays a reporter on the run with a pampered socialite (Claudette Colbert), in a script adapted by Robert Riskin from an existing short story, and directed by the great Frank Capra. It Happened One Night, as it happened, was the first movie to sweep the

All month, quite happily, I’ve been sucked into this 10th-anniversary weekend rebroadcast of Breaking Bad. And today, that celebration, and that series, comes to an end – with the last, marvelous episodes of TV’s best dramatic series. The mini-marathon begins at 9:34 a.m. ET wit Episode 12 of Season 5, and ends with the finale, called “Felina,” at 2:12 p.m. ET, which is when series creator Vince Gilligan ends it all by giving us the Badfinger.

SPECIAL: James Corden is returning as host of the Grammys this year, and there’s a lot to watch. Producer Ken Ehrlich always crams this show with exciting pairings of musicians, and among tonight’s scheduled duets are the pairing of Elton John and Miley Cyrus, and another with Bruno Mars and Cardi B. And there are several emotional moments to anticipate as well. The Brothers Osborne, Maren Morris and Eric Church, all of whom performed at the Las Vegas festival besieged by a deadly sn
