The second round of games begins today, after two days worth of opening-round contests, and an upset or two. Today’s game coverage is shown on three networks – CBS, TNT, and TBS – and begins at noon ET on CBS, with the West’s No. 5 team, Notre Dame, fighting No. 4 West Virginia.

Tonight’s new episode is titled “Grasslands,” and includes everything from American prairies to African grasslands. And if you think the latter is hitting below the veldt, then you’ve got no sense of nature. Or humor. (Why do pachyderm dentists prefer to work in Alabama? The Tuscaloosa. One of my favorite grade-school jokes.)

The White House's budget proposal cuts Corporation for Public Broadcasting... but maybe give them the money and let the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard have a week-long pledge drive every year on PBS...

The new FX series Feud: Bette and Joan is a throwback to old Hollywood and the tale of the bitter rivalry between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis and also has a an old-school title sequence inspired by the work of legendary designer Saul Bass....

SERIES PREMIERE: All 13 episodes of this first season of Julie’s Greenroom, a new children’s series starring Julie Andrews in collaboration with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, are presented today on Netflix, the producing entity for this preschool series about theater. Andrews mentors a quintet of puppet youngsters making their first foray into community theater, with guest stars such as Idina Menzel, Alec Baldwin and David Hyde Pierce dropping by to offer advice. SERIES PREMIERE: This is not a recommendation. The Marvel collection of Netflix superhero series began powerfully with Jessica Jones and Daredevil, and dimmed a bit with Luke Cage – but this latest effort, the last entry in this group before the individual heroes combine for a Netflix version of The Avengers, is the first true disappointment. Its hero may pack a punch, but the show does not.
