Last night’s live competition, with all 12 remaining contestants singing to remain on the show, was so competitive that each contestant kept topping the other, and even judges for other teams were encouraging viewers to vote for certain singers from the “enemy” camps. Tonight, one of those 12 is eliminated from the competition – in a show that, somehow will stretch those few seconds of information into a one-hour show, just as American Idol used to do.

MINISERIES PREMIERE: Tom Hiddleston, who provided lots of sizzling energy as Loki in the Marvel movies, stars in this new adaptation of the 1993 spy novel by genre master John Le Carre. Hiddleson plays an employee at a posh hotel and crosses paths with Richard Roper, an international arms merchant and all-around supervillain – played by Hugh Laurie.
