After last week’s totally perfect opener, this new CW superhero series gets down to business, with the Flash (Grant Gustin) facing off against a powerful villain. This week’s villain: Multiplex. No, he doesn’t strap down people and force them to watch cinematic sequels. He splits himself into multiple clones.

This, too, is a Game 3 game – one that was supposed to be played last night, but was postponed by rain. The Kansas City Royals have a 2-0 advantage in this series over the Baltimore Orioles, and the Royals are playing at home. Unless it’s raining hard enough to postpone the game again – which, given the logistics of rescheduling postseason baseball play, is unlikely.

SEASON PREMIERE: In the midst of all the not-quite-right new NBC comedies, here’s the return of one, which slipped in last spring, that gets everything right.  Will (David Walton) plays a neighbor who forges a somewhat paternal bond with young Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) – a bond that is reforged, in this Season 2 opener, as Will, having moved away, returns for a visit, and spends time with Marcus and his mom (played by Minnie Driver).

In the United States, to date, the number of people who have died from the ebola virus is less than a handful. Conversely, the number of  people who die each year in the U.S. from antibiotic-resistant bacteria is more than 20,000. So while most of the media are laser-focused on ebola, Frontline looks at this other deadly medical crisis – one which, unknown to most, is much more prevalent, at least in this country. Check local listings.

As sitcom setups go, the opening minutes of NBC’s Marry Me may be the best you’ll see this season -- on a new or returning series. It’s a brilliantly conceived rant and recant introduction of principal characters Jake and Annie (Ken Marino, Casey Wilson)...

It’s Game 3 of the ALCS, and the Kansas City Royals have a 2-0 advantage in this series over the Baltimore Orioles, so you’d think things, for the Royals, couldn’t be better. Except they can, and are. Tonight’s game is played in the team’s home stadium – the first pennant game to be played on home turf by the Royals since 1985. No wonder they look like they’re enjoying themselves so much. But maybe it also helps that in two games played thus far against

In tonight’s episode, there’s a return trip to Vegas – but especially with the ladies, what happens in Vegas is not likely to stay in Vegas. Not with some internal jealousies bubbling to the surface.

This new series continues to live up to the distinctive look and tone of the pilot – and tonight, we see Oswald Cobblepot get promoted from kitchen help to a management position. And at the same time, elsewhere in Gotham, auditions are held for another job vacancy as well.

SERIES PREMIERE: It’s one of the last of the new fall series to arrive from the broadcast networks, and comes from the undersized CW network – yet Jane the Virgin, which premieres tonight and is based on a Venezuelan telenovela, is among the very best of the fresh offerings from broadcast TV this season. Gina Rodriguez stars in the title role, playing a young adult who was heeding her family’s advice to embrace chastity until marriage – until, while in a doctor&rsquo
