SEASON FINALE: The producers of this show are promising a finite, and dramatic, solution to this first season’s story line. It could end with the deaths of the villainous Joe (James Purefoy), the heroic Ryan (Kevin Baker), either of whom could exit this series without ending it – or some less operatic, and less satisfying, option C. Meanwhile, one member of Ryan’s team was last seen buried alive and screaming or help, in what Joe’s favorite author, Edgar Allan Poe, would

This second episode, starring Aden Young as a convict released after 19 years on Death Row, really solidifies the unpredictable, unsettling nature of this character drama. Instead of making choices about what to do with his new life, Young’s Daniel merely accepts or rejects the offers of those he encounters. And those offers, whether innocent or intimate, begin to define his life as it now is. Very unusual – and, if you go with the flow, very, very interesting.

SEASON PREMIERE: Last season’s cliffhanger ended with an evilly-possessed Artie (Saul Rubinek) unleashing a plague upon the world. This new season begins with one pair of warehouse agents setting out to save the world, with the other trying to save Artie – from himself. Along for the entertaining ride? Two genre favorites as guest stars: James Marsters (pictured) from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Smallville, and Polly Walker from Caprica and Rome.

Two years after making the disaster-movie spoof film Airplane!, Jim Abrahams and David and Jerry Zucker turned to the small screen for a weekly satire of TV detective shows. They made only six episodes before ABC canceled Police Squad!, but what an inspired, loony comedy...

As part of a lengthy, well-deserved buildup to this fall’s 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, tonight BBC America presents one of many salutes to the many incarnations of the Doctor. In this special, the fourth Doctor, played by Tom Baker, is being celebrated – scarf and all. And it’s followed by one of Baker’s 1975 adventures, The Pyramids of Mars. It’s a trip back in time – which, for Doctor Who, seems entirely appropriate.

Walt Disney released this full-length animated feature in 1950 – but, like the fairy tale that inspired it, it remains pop-culture catnip for every generation of young girls, no matter how p.c. they’ve been raised. Walt Disney World has just completed a major expansion at the Magic Kingdom, adding several new attractions for Disney Princess fans just behind Cinderella's castle. Watch this 63-year-old movie, and understand why.

SEASON FINALE: Episodes leading up to this year’s season finale have been full of intrigue, with Cary (Matt Czuchry) planning to defect, Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) threatened by the presence of a new investigator, and Peter and Alicia (Chris Noth, Julianna Margulies) agreeing to renew their vows as he nears election night. But watch out: Tonight’s installment includes both the results of that election and Alicia’s last-minute, back-seat conversation with Will (Josh Charles), who

Last week’s episode was the most satisfying yet for this series: Emilia Clarke, as Daenerys, took control of the slave army while delivering cruel but deserved retribution for the ruler who had negotiated with her while taunting her in his native tongue. She revealed she was fluent in his language – just before she unleashed her fury. And her dragon. And the slave army, now firmly behind her. Watch out, all you other families vying for the throne. This one’s looking particularl

Last week’s episode was a tough one to watch, at least if you had lasting hopes for the relationship of Don (Jon Hamm) and Megan (Jessica Pare). In last week’s episode, he visited her soap opera set just after she conducted a love scene, and scolded her for what he perceived as trampish infidelity – even though he’s having an affair with Sylvia (Linda Cardellini), the wife of his self-described friend. This week, Megan reacts… and thus far, when confronted by Don,

This show still is worth watching, without question, but NBC isn’t making it easy. First it banishes the show to Saturday nights – and tonight, in a subplot involving promotion for the now-opened Broadway show Bombshell, it has Kathie Lee Gifford, playing herself, donning a Marilyn Monroe wig and bringing along the Today camera crew for a feature on the musical. That’s a mega-meta plot line: a show within a show about a show within a show. But somehow, by adding Today, this Sma
